The word is active

We are what we believe, the life we produce is a function of our believing, faith is a substance, it's not empty, and it’s not a mental assent. It is the illumination that comes from the word of God, through the revelation of the Holy Spirit, which deposits in our spirit this substance of hope. This illumination opens the eyes of our understanding to see and perceive the invisible, bringing us to a state of knowing and awareness. A man who is acting by faith, does this through the information he has received from the Spirit of God, which comes with a conviction, he is acting based on a knowing, this knowing is what puts in his heart the full assurance, confidence and persuasion that what he has seen through the word or what God has said holds true, even when there is no physical proof.  Faith is that evidence, proof, we have, that what God has said in his word, which we hope for and speak is real and true, even when it is invisible to the human eyes, so faith is active.  When God says to you, that you are “great”, and with this comes no physical proof to back it up, when your present situations,  state, circumstances and conditions doesn’t look or support it, the ability and choice to accept the word of God as true, and to see, think, talk and act in line with it, is faith. You are not just acting based on what you heard, but you are acting based on a revealed truth to you, this is why your faith cannot be empty because you are acting based on a knowing in your spirit, so there is conviction.   This is what happens when we allow God’s word into our spirit, it produces faith in us.
